Poem

Morning sunlight spills through kitchen glass,
Warm and gentle as a mother’s hands—
I stir zest of orange, bright as laughter,
Into the bowl where winter’s tartness lands.
Cranberries, ruby jewels, tumble in,
Their bittersweet memory of frost and fire,
Folded into flour, sugar, hope—
A batter of longing, rising higher.

The oven hums a quiet, faithful tune,
Muffins swelling with promise, gold and round.
Scents of citrus and berry drift through rooms
Where childhood whispers still abound.
Each bite: a tender mingling of seasons—
Sun and snow, joy and ache,
A gentle gift for those who gather,
A small, sweet warmth we choose to make.

Lyric

Verse 1:
I woke up this morning, what’s that smell?
A little bit of sunshine, a story to tell
Orange and cranberry, mix it so sweet
In the oven, warm and ready to eat

Chorus:
Orange cranberry muffin, you’re the one I crave
Soft and sweet, you make me feel so brave
Golden brown, you shine so bright
You’re the perfect treat, just right tonight

Verse 2:
Baking in the kitchen, joy fills the air
I sprinkle a little love, without a care
The oven's hum is like a gentle tune
And I know we’ll be together soon

Chorus:
Orange cranberry muffin, you’re the one I crave
Soft and sweet, you make me feel so brave
Golden brown, you shine so bright
You’re the perfect treat, just right tonight

Bridge:
A dash of zest, a berry’s touch
In every bite, I feel so much
Life is sweet, when you're near
Orange cranberry, you’ve got me here

Chorus:
Orange cranberry muffin, you’re the one I crave
Soft and sweet, you make me feel so brave
Golden brown, you shine so bright
You’re the perfect treat, just right tonight
